9/27/2005: Impressions of stuff I've watched/read/whatever were getting unwieldy, so I archived the older ones. Someday, when I'm really bored, I might even write lengthier descriptions of my faves.
January 2005: Wow! After nearly a year without even updating this section, I have rotated in some old songs and added some new ones to my anime and j-pop page for your listening pleasure.
Really old news: Pics of my office and commute home. Pictures from UW's and UCSD's Visit Days are now thumbnailed and captioned. Maybe I should've used a real program instead of doing it by hand with vim. Heh.

Anime  Hayate the Combat Butler [7]
Anime  Naruto Shippuden [19] (good riddance to filler hell)
Anime  Noein [23] (RahXephon-esque parallel universe sci-fi with interesting characters and stylistic, non-traditional animation)
Manga  Hellsing [Vol 7]
Manga  REC [Vol 4/Ch 31] (even though the scanlations come out only every couple weeks, the story still goes faster that MegaTokyo)
Manga  Tenjou Tenge [Ch 105]

Manga  Fruits Basket [Vol 15]

Great:
Movie  Exiled - Hong Kong spaghetti-westernized gangster flick.
Movie  Kamikaze Girls
Movie  Porco Rosso - My favorite Miyazaki movie.
PS2   God of War - Maybe a little repetitive by the end, but spectacular production values.
PS2  Lego Star Wars - More fun than watching the prequels.
Anime   Paranoia Agent
Movie  Jet Li's Fearless
Anime   Chrono Crusade - Not everything makes sense, but some solid characters help a lot.
Anime   The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Awaiting the special edition DVDs with anticipation.
Good:
Movie  Ratatouille - Predictable entertainment.
PC   King's Quest 1-3 - Working through the whole collection.
Movie  Paprika - Not as good as Satoshi Kon's Paranoia Agent, and much too similar.
Book  Small Gods - Discworld novel tackles belief and religion.
Book  Eric - Retelling of Faust is more hit-or-miss than the usual Discworld novel.
Book  Moving Pictures - Standard enjoyable Discworld tale.
PC   Sam and Max Episodes 1-5 - Classic Sam and Max dialogue returns with its brand of biting humor. The puzzles are somewhat simplistic but enjoyable.
Book  Ringworld Engineers - Followup answers a lot of questions but pales in comparison to its predecessor.
Just Plain Weird:
Anime  Texhnolyze - Chock full of weird.
Movie  Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters - Like a good episode except longer.
Anime  Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu FINAL
Anime  2x2 Shinobuden (Ninja Nonsense) - Irreverent, sophomoric, and often brilliantly funny
[More impressions]

Manga  School Rumble [Ch 46]
Anime  Legend of Galactic Heroes [7]
Anime  Death Note [7]
PS2  Shadow of the Colossus
PS   Vagrant Story (a classic, but sad to say that it got boring once I became way too good at timing my combos)
Anime   Sexy Commando Sugoi-yo Masaru-san [41] (after a while, its insanity actually starts to make sense)
Anime   Uninhabited Planet Survive [23]
Anime   Condor Hero [51] (based on popular Chinese martial arts novel, excellent story and characters)
Anime   Kamichu! [3] (nicely animated, remniscent of Ghibli, with a slice of life spin to Japanese spirits)
Anime   Parappa the Rapper [4] (doesn't have much rapping, though)
Anime   Monster [3]
Anime   Hajime no Ippo
